Arcadia is an all-season off-grid Community located near South River on Highway 124 near Algonquin Park in the Almaguin Highlands region of Parry Sound District of Ontario, Canada. Nestled halfway between North Bay and Huntsville, only a 3.5 hour drive North of Toronto. South River remains a frontier of unspoiled northern wilderness. It is the access point for many unique tourist attractions such as amazing Freshwater Fishing (smallmouth bass, whitefish, pickerel, rainbow trout, speckled trout, brook trout, lake trout, splake, ling perch and smelt), Wilderness adventures and Canoe Trips, Dog Sledding, Horseback Rides, Adventure Trails and Camps among many other exciting experiences at the Eagle Lake Golf and Country Club and local Highlander Brew Co. microbrewery. Other noticeable local enterprises include The Studio of Groovy Glass Beads (where unique hand-made beads are made and sold), Ron Post makes handmade knives and sheaths, Crafts at The Northern Crafter’s Collective, Rustic Blessings, and the Bear Chair Company.
